Founded in 2010, &tradition is a Danish design company with a founding principle of tying tradition to innovation. Their unique library of furniture and lighting spans from the 1930s to the present, and includes designs by internationally renowned designers. The designers &tradition works with are connected by a desire to push manufacturing techniques and to find innovative uses for materials. Although  influenced by their Nordic heritage, they handpick design talent and production facilities internationally and across the ages. This is part of their remit to reshape, redefine and reinvent materials, techniques and forms, helping them to find a unique position in the international design market.

Through his firm Layer Design, renowned British designer Benjamin Hubert leads a team of industrial designers, researchers, and engineers who continuously challenge conventions around the everyday use of materials.

Analyzing human behavior to make products that meaningfully engage users with their environment, Benjamin Hubert and his firm have won prestigious awards for their work in furniture, lighting, consumer goods, architectural installations, and interior design.
